Welcome back to another Kraft Korner blog! This week has been absolutely boiling with a huge UK heatwave writing some of our markets off – but that hasn’t stopped us from crafting!
New piece
Our markets at Sandwell MMUH were cancelled this week, but I did want to show off my new handmade garment that I made just for the sale- it’ll get its chance to shine this week instead.
My garments are usually bursting with colour, and while that is amazing, it’s nice to have some neutrals every now and again! This cardigan is known as a ‘hexi’ cardigan and essentially builds in a similar way to a granny square, but instead of having 4 corners we have 6! Hence, the ‘hexi’ part. I chose dark brown and beige because I am a massive fan of brown first of all, but also I think they compliment each other really well! And it’s the perfect blend for someone who fancies something a little less bold. My hexi cardigans are usually £40 and this one is officially available!
Commissions
We are open for new commissions starting this week! That means any ideas you have for crochet/jewellery projects that you just can’t make yourself or find in a high street store, we can do for you. Simply email or message me (07872343791 and the.kraftkorner@yahoo.com) and we’ll see what we can do! This week we made a commission for a lovely lady who wanted an egg collecting apron!
In the meantime this week we have been crocheting plenty of stock for our Sandwell markets as we’ve been selling out at every one of those! So lots of work has been going on behind the scenes. I’ve also been enjoying the hot weather and watching the football games of England in the World Cup! Next week should have a little more action, so it’s been lovely to somewhat recharge.
